Overview

No United Arab Emirates bucket list is complete without a trip to the dunes. If you're looking to experience something other than a traditional desert safari, this Wadi Adventure is guaranteed to have your wish granted. Taking you to the best hidden gems and awe-inspiring sights, this is one journey you’ll never forget.

The full-day adventure begins as your experienced and professional safari guide picks you up from your hotel in a four-wheel drive Jeep. You’ll be whisked off to the very heart of the deset for a day filled with exciting explorations and unforgettable experiences.

Immerse yourself in the out-of-this-world landscapes, as you drive across mesmerising desert dunes and explore beautiful wadis. Your knowledgeable safari guide will add to the excitement by sharing fascinating facts and spectacular stories about the desert, whilst you take in the scenic views around you.

Once you’ve reached Sharjah and the archaeologically famous area of Mleiha, it is time to explore Fossil Rock. Visible from more than 25 kilometres away, this huge rock formation is definitely one of the most interesting natural sights in the United Arab Emirates. You’ll feel a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city, as you’re surrounded by cragged landscapes straight out of a science fiction movie. Your journey continues to the nearby Mleiha Archaeological Centre, where you’ll get a better understanding of the rich history of the UAE, and what the early days in the desert looked like.

The next stop will take you to Ras Al Khaimah where you’ll enjoy your time at Wadi Shawka, one of the most spectacular tourist destinations in the entire country. Comprising of the Wadi Shawka pools and dam, the unique site is located in the majestic Hajar Mountains. The historical area is home to a number of abandoned settlements which are now protected heritage sites.

As you make your way to the Buhais Geological Park, you’ll have a chance to further learn about local rocks and fossils. Take your time enjoying the outdoor trails complete with viewing areas, ancient burial grounds and extraordinary rock formations.

On your drive towards Wadi Al Helo, one of Sharjah’s many enclaves, you can enjoy the scenic views of the Old Kalba Road along the way. The word “helo” means sweet, so the valley, listed to become a UNESCO Heritage Site, is called The Sweet Valley. The area boasts incredible biodiversity, providing a home to several species of birds, rodents and reptiles. The valley includes awe-inspiring historical sites, such as ruins and graves as well as evidence of what life used to look like thousands of years ago.

Your adventure is complete with a picturesque lunch stop on the beautiful East Coast, where you can recap your amazing experiences, whilst enjoying a delicious lunch box provided by us.

After a day of discoveries, you will be driven back to your hotel.
