Meet our guide at your hotel, settle into an air-conditioned four-wheel drive vehicle and start your half-day trip into the desert and Hajar mountains. While you travel past the rolling dunes, let your guide know if there are any specific sights along the route you'd like to explore. Since this is a private tour, the itinerary can be tailored to your preferences.
As you head towards Hatta, witness the landscapes shift from open expanses to dunes, and the rocky foothills of the Hajar range. Hear from your guide about the town of Hatta, an old trading settlement known for its historic fort and rock pools. Stop to enjoy a breakfast picnic before continuing to Jebel Maleihah, also known as Fossil Rock. This natural outcrop looms from the sands and is named after the ancient marine fossils embedded in its slopes.
Your next stop is the Hatta Honeybee Garden, where you'll learn all about the fascinating art of beekeeping and honey making. Afterwards, you'll make your way through the imposing mountains to Hatta Dam, which promises amazing views to make many a shutterbug happy.
Your adventure concludes with a drive back to the city.

• Vegetarian options are available for the picnic box; this preference should be mentioned at the time of booking

Cancellation policy
For a full refund, cancel at least 48 hours before the booked date. No-shows and late cancellations are non-refundable.

• The desert safari trip involves driving across sand dunes and off-road tracks; as the drive can be rough in certain areas, it is not suitable for pregnant women or people with heart ailments and back or neck problems
• A minimum of two people per booking is required
• Transfers are in a 4x4 vehicle with up to five people per car
• Children below five are not allowed on this tour; adult price applies to all guests
• This tour is not wheelchair accessible
• Dress code: lightweight summer clothing is suitable for most of the year, but sweaters or jackets and closed shoes may be required for winter months, especially during evenings; good quality sunglasses and hats are advisable when in direct sunlight. It's wise to dress conservatively when in public, especially in souks, shops and villages – men and women should ensure that shoulders and knees are covered.
