Overview
As you float up to the sky, the hues along the horizon begin to transform into beautiful shades of yellows and oranges. Depending on which direction you are facing, you will see the Arabian sun rising behind the Hajar mountains over the desert dunes – and 4,000ft in the sky is one of the best places in the world to witness the beauty of sunrise. Look out for the Arabian oryx, gazelles or wandering camels on the sand dunes below. Every balloon flight is approximately one hour long and, every day, the balloons land somewhere different in the desert depending on the wind.
The adventure doesn't end there. After your once-in-a-lifetime experience of the desert from up above, get ready to travel through the dunes in vintage Land Rover to an authentic heritage camp in a royal desert retreat. These 1950s Land Rovers were the first motorised vehicles introduced to the desert and have been resorted to their former glory.
New adventures always work up an appetite. Arrive at an authentic heritage camp to enjoy a five-star breakfast in the heart of the desert. Relax in this beautiful setting and enjoy a delicious spread of eggs Benedict, shakshuka, salmon, caviar, halloumi cheese, fresh fruit, cold cut platters and more. At the camp you can experience the thrill of a camel ride and take photos with a falcon, or sit back and relax in the traditional majlis. When you are ready, your driver will take you back to the city.

Please be prepared for pick-up between 4-6am. Confirmation with the precise pick-up time will be sent to your email or phone by 7pm the day before the excursion. If are not able to reach you, we kindly request you to contact us.
Please note that this experience is closed for the summer, from June 1 until September 15, 2023. The attraction will reopen on September 16, 2023.

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before visit date. No show and late cancelations are non-refundable.

IMPORTANT UPDATES:
• In accordance with General Civil Aviation Authority regulations, each guest must provide their full name, nationality, passport number, date of birth, and a valid contact number.
• The supplier will reach out to guests 48 hours before the flight to collect this information and ensure a smooth experience.
• If you have not been contacted at least 24 hours prior to your flight, please get in touch with the supplier by calling +971 4 412 6333, sending a WhatsApp message to +971 54 425 4995 (messages only, no calls), or emailing info@uae.heroballoonflights.com.
• Minimum age requirement: Children below 7 are no longer permitted to join the experience.
• Guests over 60 years old: All guests aged 60 and above are required to sign a waiver along with the boarding pass prior to the flight.
• Pregnant guests: To ensure safety and comfort, passengers at any stage of pregnancy are not permitted on this experience.
•Pick-Up Times vary by season, between 03:30 AM and 05:30 AM. Our Experience Consultants will confirm your exact pick-up time the day before your flight.
•Please be punctual at the meeting point. The driver cannot wait for late arrivals.
•We prioritize safety and will only fly if weather conditions are ideal. If the flight is cancelled due to weather, we will:
- Offer a rebooking for another day.
- Provide a full refund if rebooking isn’t possible.
- Notify you of any cancellations the day before if possible. If weather conditions worsen at the take-off site, we will first enjoy breakfast and then reassess the possibility of flying.
• Itineraries may vary and/or attractions be substituted for any cause including seasonal conditions, weather extremes, natural disasters, and Conservation Reserve requirements.
•We cater for vegetarian and gluten intolerance – please advise at time of booking.
•Due to the nature of this activity and the strict drone regulations in the UAE, drones are not permitted.
