Overview
Experience the desert in its most tranquil moments – when the sun rises over endless golden dunes. Watch the wilderness come alive as your driver takes you on an adrenaline-filled dune drive. After this exhilarating session on the sands, you'll get to watch and admire the protected indigenous fauna, like gazelles and the Arabian oryx, in their natural habitat.
Just a short drive away, you'll find yourself at the serene Al Qudra Lakes, nestled in the Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve. Across the series of water bodies here, you can indulge in a memorable picnic, ride or stroll.
This tour is a wonderful way to enjoy Dubai’s beautiful desert sunrise with waterfront views and the local wildlife around. Your journey includes Arabic coffee, dates and refreshments along with a snack box. Once you've concluded your morning in the sands, we'll whisk you back to your hotel in the city.
Know before you go
• On a foggy or hazy day, the sunrise might not be clear
• Children below five, pregnant women and people with heart, back or neck ailments are not allowed on this experience
• Arabian oryx sightings are not guaranteed (there is a low probability that Arabian oryx will not be available at the feeding station)
• For food, vegetarian options are available; please advise at the time of booking, if required
• The local tour operator reserves the right to cancel any part of the scheduled programme because of government decisions, public holidays, weather conditions or other similar circumstances
• Guests visiting the UAE during summer months (June - September) are advised that peak daytime temperatures can reach 42-45 degrees Celsius, with humidity levels that can exceed 90%; all guests should take adequate precautions based on these weather conditions
Cancellation policy
For a full refund, cancel at least 48 hours before the booked date. No-shows and late cancellations are non-refundable.
Additional Information
• The desert safari trip involves driving across sand dunes and off-road tracks; as the drive can be rough in certain areas, it is not suitable for pregnant women or persons with heart ailments and back or neck problems
• A minimum of two people per booking is required
• Transfers are in a 4x4 vehicle with up to five people per car
• Children below five are not allowed on this tour; adult price applies to all guests
• This tour is not wheelchair accessible
• Dress code: lightweight summer clothing is suitable for most of the year, but sweaters or jackets and closed shoes may be required for winter months, especially during evenings in the desert; good quality sunglasses and hats are advisable when in direct sunlight. It's wise to dress conservatively when in public, especially in souks, shops and villages – men and women should ensure that shoulders and knees are covered.
• Pick-up time is approximately between 6am and 6:30am
• Please confirm your exact pick-up time with the supplier after the booking is made in order to avoid inconveniences
• Duration of the tour is about five to six hours but transfers from and to the hotels in Dubai may take another 60-90 minutes depending on traffic conditions and time of day
• Sanitiser will be provided in the car
• Passengers are required to follow COVID-19 rules and precautions
